Juna who has just turned 12 months, started a succesfull carreer with a flying start of 13,38km/h over 2,5km.

Just do It became first baby (very promising). In Intermediate class, I''ll follow became first. Finally Enjoy also became first in workingclass and received the RCAC and RCACIB.

After 1 month of belgian obedience in the A-class Juna succeeded the test from A to B with 87%. The exercises were very difficult, e.g. the slalom between dogs. This is normally an exercise for the obedience licence exam. We are very very proud at Caroline and Juna.

An ultrasound scan confirmed the pregnancy of Guapa. Birth expected half of june. Dady will be Clan-Abby NZ Carolyn's Dylan.

Friday 14 was a very successful day at the club match of Dog school in Kuurne. 3 of 4 participants in 3 different categories have occupied the first place.
The winning novice (debutants) cup was present to Mike with Chica (100/100), Jo with Hoshi in the A-group ended first with 98/100 and also Martine with little Joy of Life became first with 98/100 in the puppy group.
Last but not least Andy with puppy Juno finished well with 91/100, a very nice score for 2 newcomers at obedience.
Congrats for all with the fantastic results and thank you deeply for participating.

Christa attended the seminar of America’s well known dog trainer Pia Silvani in which 2 subjects were offered 1. The emotional dog (fear, conflict, anxiety) 2. It’s okay to say no.
During the first topic the importance of an early (from day 3) mild and correct (constructive and no over stimulating) socialization was emphasized which has a great positive effect on the dogs behavior. A good socialization doesn’t stop at 8 weeks, but continues untill the end of the juvenil period. What the breeder starts, should not be stopped at the arrival of the puppy at the owner’s but should be continued untill the dog has become 12 months.
The advantages of a correct socialization are numerous: e.g. better able to handle stress, more outgoing and quick to learn thanks to increased size of brain (even better developped), and so on.
Furthermore researchers agree that a lack of adequate socialization results in unacceptable behavior and often produces undesirable aggression, excessiveness, fearfulness, sexual inadequacy and indifference to partners.
To put it briefly, this statement was a confirmation of the correct way in which we socialize our puppies. We plan to continue like this and do our utmost to socialize optimally all future Lowlands of Lys puppies.
